Optimizing Your Treatment

Pre-Treatment

Avoid using active ingredients such as physical or chemical form of exfoliation, retinols, Vitamin C, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide products 48-72 hours prior. For prescription medications it is recommended to avoid 7 days prior. Avoidance of Accutane for 6 months before treatment is highly recommended. No waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis 7 days before. Avoid laser treatments 2 weeks prior. No sunburn or tanning of any kind for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Use of recommended skin care system for preconditioning your skin for 4-6 weeks for optimal results. No Injectables within 2 weeks prior to treatment No shaving the day of the procedure.

Post-Treatment

First 24 hours avoid using skin routine as advised by Skin Technician. Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen, Motrin or Advil 24 hours post treatment. Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as suggested by Skin Technician. This is suggested from 2-4 weeks post treatment. Sunscreen is not negotiable, use an SPF30 or above. You may use mineral based makeup or tinted sunscreen. Redness, sensitivity and swelling might be present and last up 3 days. Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 48-72 hours. Saunas and steam rooms are suggested to be avoided for 1 week. A simple skincare routine is recommended such as a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen for 1-2 weeks. You can restart your skincare routine with active ingredients after 1-2 weeks, or as advised by your Skin Technician.
