Frequently Asked Questions

What does Microneedling treat?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses tiny, sterilized needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This triggers your body's natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin production.

Primary Uses
Fine Lines & Wrinkles: Smooths aging skin by "plumping" it from within.

Acne Scars: Breaks down old scar tissue and encourages new skin growth.

Large Pores: Firms the skin structure around pores to make them less visible.

Hyperpigmentation: Fades sun spots, melasma, and uneven skin tone.

Stretch Marks: Improves texture and appearance on the body.
What is the downtime for microneedling?
Swelling- May occur and usually lasts 2-3 days and will often appear the worst on the
day after the treatment, especially around the eyes. The area may begin to feel tight.
Post-Treatment
Sleep elevated the first night and a cold compress (ice packs) may be applied to the
treatment area 4 hours post procedure and then as needed for the first 1-2 days.
Redness- If desired, it can be covered up with mineral based makeup the following
day after treatment. We recommend using Jane Iredale makeup. Slight redness could
remain for up to a week.
Dry skin-This procedure tends to cause the skin to flake and feel dry this is normal
typically appearing days 3-5 should resolve within a week.
•If you have areas of raw skin post treatment, keep them moist with something like
Aquaphor or Bacitracin. Do not apply any products containing glycerin post procedure
for a minimum of 3 days. You do not have to apply band-aids but keep them moist and
do not pick at them. Healing time also varies from person to person. Be patient with
your healing process. We are confident you will see improvement of your skin texture
shortly after even the first treatment!
What is the cost and recovery like for microneedling?
Microneedling is $319 per treatment, with an optional décolleté add-on for $100. Recovery time is 1–3 days, and pain is mild to moderate with topical numbing cream applied beforehand.
How many microneedling sessions do I need and how far apart are they?
A typical course requires 6–8 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, depending on your desired results. You'll start seeing improvement within 1–2 weeks, with continued results for up to 6 months.
